Four Early Horn Beakers.
A selection of four cattle horn beakers of various sizes, all with horn bottoms. Beaker 1 - rim diameter 7.5 cm, height 8.2 cm - tram line decoration to top
bottom, Beaker 2 - rim diameter 7 cm, height 10.3 cm - etched with a fox hunting scene, Beaker 3 - rim diameter 6.5 cm, height 9.1 cm - plain but initialled on the bottom (JLP)
Beaker 4 - rim diameter 5 cm, height 7.8 cm - dot pattern.
The decoration was made by scratching a hot needle into the horn, their translucency highlighting the decoration.
