About the Item

We have never seen anything like these, each plate weighs over 2 pounds (2 lb 2.3 oz.) Ground pontil mark to center, and they ring true and long like crystal but we are unsure of what type of glass. These have a very nice mid-century geometric design, nomakers markings or signatures. There is normal utensil wear scratches to both top and bottom surfaces, but not bad at all still a very presentable set of plates for being over 100 years old. These were handed down through a few generations of the family of the Washington DC estate they were procured. So we have approximated the age to 1880-1920s. That is the only information we have on these beautiful plates. A set of six is included in this sale.
