An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Edwardian English sterling silver commemorative tray; an addition to our silver tray collection This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver tray has a rectangular form with rounded corners. The surface of this sterling silver serving tray is embellished with impressive and rare commemorative engraved decoration incorporating two large portraits of King Edward VII and Princess Alexandra. The surface is further embellished with four engraved scenes of the Royal family homes, in addition to a large central Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom, above the motto 'Dieu et mon droit ' - God and my right; this is the motto of the Monarch of the United Kingdom. The raised rounded border of this antique silver tray is ornamented with applied gadroon decoration to the rim.
