A vintage and collectible set of porcelain and pure silver salt and pepper shakers designed and handcrafted in Taxco, Mexico by celebrated designer Emilia Castillo. The matte black porcelain bodies are hand-decorated with pure silver, forming swirling vines, budding flowers, and whimsical dragonflies—an iconic expression of Castillo’s nature-inspired aesthetic.
Both pieces are signed “Emilia Castillo ©, Plata Pura, Mexico,” dated 98, and marked with the number 31, confirming authenticity and origin.
As the daughter of Don Antonio Castillo, founder of the legendary Los Castillo workshop, Emilia carries forward one of the most influential design legacies in Mexican silver and ceramic artistry. Her work embodies the rich heritage of Taxco, a city renowned for centuries of silver mining and master craftsmanship.
