About the Item
A beautiful, exceptionally decorative serving tray from the famous glassblowing island of Murano in Venice, Italy. Made in the 1950s, most probably by Ercole Barovier.
The tray consists of a wooden board with a mirror mounted on it. A twisted glass rod runs around the entire perimeter and is attached to two attractively designed handles. It incorporates 24-karat gold glitter.
The front of the glass features a scene of gallantry, hand-carved into the glass: a gentleman with a lady under a tree – a masterful piece of craftsmanship.
Dimensions approx.: height 1,77 in - 4,3 cm, diameter 12,99 in - 33 cm, inner diameter 8,46 in - 21,5 cm.
