About the Item

A very unusual cased George III folding fruit knife and folk made most probably in Sheffield circa 1786-90 The Fruit Knife and Fork is of an unusually large size and displays beautifully engraved mother of pearl handles, inset with silver star motifs. The fork and blade of the knife are decorated with crisp bright cut designs. Their very fine condition is due to the fact that they possess their original Moroccan Red Leather case. Additional information: Length of fork and knife: 7 inches, 17.5 cm. Length of leather case: 4.9 inches, 12.25 cm
