About the Item

Superb set of 'Fisheaters', i.e. Six knives and six forks designed by Gerald Benney, in original box. The influence of Danish design is very clear, yet these are quintessentially midcentury British in their trim, measured and practical style. 'Gerald Benney CBE (21 April 1930 – 26 June 2008) was a British silver and goldsmith who along with David Mellor and Robert Welch popularized stainless steel designs in post-war British homes'. A little wear. In very good condition overall. Box also in good condition, with a torn corner and a neatly taped corner - very tidy. Measures: Fork 175mm x 30mm Knife 195mm x 20mm Full box size given below.

Franco Bucci Coffee Service ACR Arte Ceramica Romana, 1973
By Franco Bucci
Located in Melbourne, AU
Franco Bucci coffee service for six with coffee pot, cups, saucers, sugar and creamer. We love this service for its bold, elegant, robust Italian design, typical of the 1970s. Curvacious, chunky, innovative, attractive, lovely to use and to hold - it's got it all. Bucci designed ceramics for high quality manufacture. During the 1970s, he produced this 'budget' household crockery service for mass production which proved very popular. This set can be viewed in the Bucci archive, listed as item 805. It was produced serially by Arte Ceramica...
