Midwinter Dinner Service ‘Happy Valley’ designed by Jessie Tait, circa 1950, 6 setting, 28 pieces (6 setting)
Rare and beautiful 28-piece dinner service designed by Jessie Tait for Midwinter Stylecraft range.
The pattern itself depicts a country landscape scene dotted with houses and small buildings, trees and a river running through it.
Each piece has been hand-colored before glazing. The artwork has a very similar look to that of Eric Ravilious.
It is rare to find such a set in hardly used excellent condition. This set is short of 1 x pudding bowl, there is an additional plate instead.
