Nils Emil Lundström, one of Rörstrand's longest-tenured and most adaptable designers, initially joined the company as a pattern designer in 1896. One of his most significant and lasting accomplishments is the pattern for the Ostindia service, introduced in 1932. Lundström also earned recognition as a ceramicist, a textile designer, and a furniture designer. His work was showcased in several international design exhibitions in the early 20th century.
