This is a pair of antique decorative spoon rests. A Japanese bamboo-effect carved teak kitchen utility stand, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Delightfully carved in the manner of a Torii gate
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Superb teak shows fine grain interest and rich biscuit hues
Skilfully turned posts imitate the form of bamboo
Each rest offers twelve posts, ideal for hanging utensils or keys
