An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver three piece condiment/cruet set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian English sterling silver condiment set consists of a mustard pot and two condiment shakers. The shakers have a circular rounded form to a circular pedestal foot and the mustard pot has an oval form onto four bun style feet. The surface of each component is encircled with impressive pierced decoration, comprising interlacing arch and oval designs accented with circular motifs. The upper and lower portion of the mustard pot is further embellished with a gadroon decorated border, and the posterior surface bears a shaped sterling silver handle. The exceptional mustard pot is fitted with the original domed hinged cover, surmounted with baluster shaped finial. These condiment shakers each retain the original domed hallmarked push fit cover ornamented with pierced decoration. The circular foot of each shaker is embellished with impressive embossed bead decoration, to a plain collet rim. Each component is fitted with a blue glass liner. This antique condiment set...

A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing shaped arches accented with simplified floral motifs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied ribbed border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged subtly domed cover surmounted with an impressive scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is embellished with pin struck decoration emanating from the centre in addition to a wriggle work stylised floral design. This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with an S-scroll handle ornamented with scrolling terminals and thumbpiece. The mustard pot is fitted with a removable blue glass liner. An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian English cast sterling silver three piece condiment set in the form of squirrels; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection This exceptional and rare antique Victorian English cast sterling silver condiment set consists of a mustard pot and a pair of peppers. The components of this magnificent set have been realistically modelled in the form of squirrels eating nuts. Each substantial piece is ornamented with details reproducing the squirrel's fur and anatomical features. The fine mustard pot is fitted the original hallmarked flush hinged cover, incorporating the rodent's arms and head, and retains the original gilding to the interior; the flush hinge and gilding indicates the high quality of the piece. The decoration to each squirrel pepper incorporates an array of pierced 'pepper' holes to the upper portion. The underside of each pepperette is fitted with a hinged hallmarked push fit cover. The base of each piece bears the retailer's mark 'Jones 41 St James's St & 23 B Des Capucine, Paris'. The magnificent condiment set will have been crafted in the same year, but due to the hallmarking system the mustard pot is struck with the date letter 'C' and the pepperettes bear the date letter 'D'.
