About the Item

The SoShiro Pok collection pepper grinder is crafted from walnut wood, embedded with glass pearl beads, and fitted with all-ceramic, non-oxidizing or corroding grinding mechanisms offering 14 granular size settings. The Pok collection celebrates the artistry of hand-crafted beadwork made by the Pokot women in Northwest Kenya. Influenced by the hand-carved African gourd fruit vessels used in the Pokot community, Shiro Muchiri, the designer, combines their artistic cultural heritage with contemporary design. The wooden pepper grinder is carved into an ergonomic pyramid shape and embedded with glass pearl beads that celebrate beadwork ornamentation. This decorative pepper grinder is also available in beech wood and can be purchased as a set with the salt mill. Dimensions: Ø 8.5cm H 25cm (Ø 3.34in x 9.8in)
