About the Item

This rare pair of Italian ceramic coffee cups was designed in the 1970s by Makio Hasuike for the Arnolfo di Cambio collection and manufactured by Ceramiche Revelli in Laveno, Italy. Exemplifying the rigor and clarity of Italian industrial design, the set reflects Hasuike’s ability to elevate everyday rituals through thoughtful form and proportion. The cups feature softly squared bodies with integrated handles, resting on matching square saucers that echo the geometry of the vessels. Finished in a refined powder pink ceramic glaze, the pair showcases the warm, experimental color sensibility characteristic of Italian design during the 1970s. Measuring 9 cm in diameter and 6 cm in height, with saucers measuring 14 cm by 1.5 cm, the proportions are intentionally compact and precise, ideal for espresso service. Originally part of a complete coffee set, this pair is now offered as a standalone collectible, appealing to design collectors seeking authentic Italian modern tableware with clear provenance.
