Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this stunning 1844 early Victorian Sugar Shaker with fully hallmarked Sterling Silver top made by the great silversmith William Moulson
A very good looking well made and decorative piece, the main body is cut and the top is all Sterling Silver which is hallmarked as follows
DATE LETTER:- J for 1844
TOWN MARK:- Panthers head for London
STERLING SILVER:- Sideways Lion for Sterling
MAKERS MARK:- WM for William Moulson
EXTRAS:- Sideways facing portrait of young Queen Victoria
The condition is excellent so far as I can see, there are some light indentations to the top which could be pressed out, the glass has normal patination, it is 180 years old after all so we can forgive it a little patina
