About the Item

Capodimonte porcelain teapot, bronze and pure gold, made in the late 19th century Ø cm 23 Ø cm 14 h cm 30 Capodimonte porcelain is an excellence of Italian craftsmanship, with a rich history and production that is distinguished by its quality and refinement. The Royal Factory of Capodimonte was founded in 1743 by Charles of Bourbon, King of Naples, within the Royal Palace of Capodimonte. The factory has had several phases of activity, with periods of great splendor and times of closure, but has always maintained high quality standards. Capodimonte porcelain is famous for its "soft paste," a composition that gives objects a special softness and luminosity. The decorations are characterized by great attention to detail, with depictions of mythological scenes, allegorical figures, floral motifs, and scenes of everyday life. Capodimonte statues are particularly prized for their expressiveness and richness of detail. Production includes a wide range of items, including figurines, tableware, vases, centerpieces and decorative items. The workmanship is mainly handcrafted, with techniques handed down from generation to generation.
