About the Item
Beautiful antique Murano hand blown millefiori flower mosaic Italian art glass teapot, sugar bowl, with teacup and saucer set. Documented to the Fratelli Toso Company, circa 1910-1930. Bold design, in an almost checkered pattern on each piece. The teapot and sugar both have original lids, and both, along with the teacup have applied handles. They have dark purple, green, blue, white, orange colors. Would make a great display for any dresser, vanity or curio cabinet. Art Nouveau era. Measurements: Teapot: 5 3/8" tall x 5 1/4" across handle to spout.
Sugar Bowl: 3 1/2" tall x 4 1/8" across handles.
Teacup: 2 1/8" tall x 2 3/4" across the handle.
Saucer: 4 1/8" long x 3 7/8" wide.

A set of five millefiore murrine glass vases, manufactured by Vetreria Fratelli Toso around 1910-20. All vases feature handles and are executed with polychrome multicoloured murrines. Four vases have an acid etched matte finish, one vase with glossy finish. The vases are authentic examples of early 20th century Murano art glass. They were part of a large Fratelli Toso glass collection with over 600 pieces - collected since the 1970s.
Fratello Toso was one of the leading art glass manufacturers of Murano in the 20th century. In the early 1900's Fratelli Toso started to produce glasses in murrine technique.
