The set combines two distinct traditional Japanese arts– extremely detailed hand painting with true-to-life details, and the application of high-purity gold. The collaboration of the two artistic forms creates pieces that are breathtaking in their intricacy and a joy to explore.
The three pieces of this tea service set showcase multiple panels of well-known Japanese historic scenes, famous sites and scenes of natural beauty. The panels are set against a background of miniature Japanese brocade patterns painted in extremely Fine lines done in high-purity gold.
