Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1928 by Roberts
Belk this sophisticated George V sterling silver four-piece tea set is of a fine Art Deco design. Each piece is of an octagonal form and has a plain, polished surface. The teapot and hot water pot are fitted with ebonised wooden handles and geometric finials to the lid, while the sugar bowl and cream jug have gilded interiors. The set has a combined weight of 53 troy ounces.
The tea pot measures 7.5"(19cm) tall, by 9.5"(24cm) handle to spout, and 5"(12.5cm) deep. The hot water pot measures 9"(23cm) tall, by 6.5"(16.5cm) handle to spout, and 4.25"(11cm) deep. The sugar bowl measures 3.75"(9.5cm) tall, by 5.25"(13.5cm) handle to handle, and 3.75"(9.5cm) deep. The cream jug measures 4"(10cm) tall, by 4.25"(11cm) handle to spout, and 2.75"(7cm) deep.
