About the Item

A set of two Etruscan majolica teacups with matching saucers. Each piece is glazed in a beautiful pink, purple, green, brown and blue. The tea saucers (or bread plates) are round, and feature a lovely textured circular motif. We often see plates like these hung or displayed in groupings with other majolica plates or oyster plates. Each saucer comes with a matching teacup with the same textured and brightly glazed Etruscan seaweed pattern on the exterior. Fine light blue ceramic handles are affixed to each cup. The interior of the cups are glazed in a pretty pale ballet pink. Each plate has a glazed white bottom. There are no signatures or makers marks that we can find. Saucer: 1" Tall 6.25" Diameter Tea Cup: 3.25" Deep 4.25" Wide 2" Tall.
