John Barnard this refined Victorian antique sterling silver four-piece tea set is of a classic Neoclassical Revival design. The teapot and coffee pot are of a drum form with wooden handles and finials to the lid. The set is decorated with fine engraved borders of classical motifs and a vacant cartouche to the centre of each piece. The sugar bowl has a swing handle, and the cream jug is of a helmet shape. The set has a combined weight of 55 troy ounces.
The tea pot measures 5.75"(14.5cm) tall, by 9.5"(24cm) handle to spout and 5"(13cm) deep. The coffee pot measures 8.75"(22cm) tall, by 8.5"(21cm) handle to spout and 4.75"(12cm) deep. The sugar bowl measures 5"(13cm) tall with handle down, by 5"(12.5cm) in diameter. The cream jug measures 5.75"(14.5cm) tall, by 5"(13cm) handle to spout and 2.75"(7cm) deep.

This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver spirit kettle has a six paneled urn shaped form onto a hexagonal paneled spreading pedestal foot.
The surface to this large spirit kettle is embellished with exceptional bright cut engraved foliate festoons incorporating quatrefoil leaf motifs and suspended from rosette designs to each edge.
The decoration to the body incorporates two oval cartouches, one of which remains vacant.
The cartouche to the anterior surface is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of an antelope's head couped, charged on the neck with four mullets in cross, and holding in the mouth a rose, slipped and leaved, displayed below the motto 'Nil extra numerum'- Nothing is beyond reckoning up*.
The upper portion of the kettle is embellished with bands of bright cut engraved undulating borders paralleling the shape of the shoulders.
