Hallmarked in London in 1930 by C. S. Harris
Sons Ltd. this sleek George V sterling silver four-piece tea set is of a fine Art Deco design. The pieces have a polished surface and an octagonal panelled form. The teapot and coffee pot are fitted with ebonised wooden handles and simple finials, while the sugar bowl and cream jug have plain angular handles. The set has a combined weight of 54 troy ounces.
The tea pot measures 6"(15cm) tall, by 10.5"(26.5cm) handle to spout, and 5.5"(14cm) deep. The coffee pot measures 8.25"(21cm) tall, by 8.5"(21.5cm) handle to spout, and 4.75"(12cm) deep. The sugar bowl measures 3.5"(9cm) tall, by 6.75"(17cm) handle to handle, and 4.5"(11.5cm) deep. The cream jug measures 3.5"(9cm) tall, by 5.5"(14cm) handle to spout, and 3.5"(9cm) deep.
