About the Item
The body of the coffee pot is embossed and engraved with scroll motifs, typical of the Baroque style, and allegorical masks. A fine hammering (knurling) was applied between the designs to highlight the workmanship. The lid is hinged and dome-shaped.
Hemispheres, also embossed, were created on the base, and then repeated in a smaller size on the top and lid.
The large spout was carved from the body of the coffee pot and left smooth on the top.
The large handle was cast and then engraved with floral motifs and a large allegorical mask on the main part.
The comfortable grip for opening the coffee maker with just your thumb and the knob on the lid were also made using the casting technique.
The inside of the coffee maker has been gilded with 24kt gold

The object was completely handmade in Italy by the silversmith Lorenzo Ferrari who had the laboratory in Milan in via XXV Aprile.
The body, in the central and upper part, was worked with the technique of the embossing and the chisel in the front part, with typical baroque scrolls, leaving a smooth central coat of arms for any noble coats of arms or family initials. The back of the body is smooth.
In the lower part, on the whole body, a design with pods, alternating large and small, has been embossed and chiseled. The handle of the chocolate maker...

The large silver coffee pot has a round mouthpiece with a markedly everted rim, on which hinges a domed lid with very full molded pod shapes; a closed bud surmounted by a small sphere serves as a knob. The polygonal neck descends and widens into molded elements that come together, with larger pods, at the point where it is attached to the body. The body in turn is united to a well-shaped foot, which ends in a flat base with a vertical rim.
From the body rises a spout with a circular mouth accented with a thick rim. An angled loop, made of ebonized wood, is applied to the neck by means of a double-cone element having a sphere at its center; it ends in a silver cone...
