About the Item

Circa 1860-90 Grand Scale Meissen Covered Soup Tureen Undertray, German. In the scattered flowers or streublumen pattern. Shaped, gilt edges gilt detailed acanthus leaf handles twist knops. Extremely minor rubbing to gilding. One tiny chip on the underside of the right undertray handle. Meissen crossed swords mark. 20 3/8" w., 13 7/8" d., approx. 10 3/4" h. overall.
