John Rogers
Sons Factory (English, 1795-1830), circa 1820.
A 3 piece Georgian pearlware collection comprising of a tureen with lid, soup ladle and under tray. The tureen is adorned with a full bodied lion finial, large lion head handles to body and decorated with countryside scenes. The musketeer pattern has some of the finest quality decoration amongst the Staffordshire patterns. Staffordshire ceramics worked with cobalt oxide, lead glaze and earthenware for their unique and sought after objects. Marked to underside of each piece "Rogers".
Note: The ladle is possibly from a different pattern.
