About the Item

A beautiful and chic French faience pottery tureen entirely hand-painted from Henroit, circa early to mid-20th century, France. Tureen features a chic woman in a beautiful dress on lid/cover. Piece was made in France for Lord and Taylor. Lord and Taylor was an American department store opening its original location 1826 in New York, NY. Lid/top features a woman in dress, green knob, and opening for ladle or spoon. Base/bowl has a hand-painted exterior around, scroll handles in green, and a footed base. With makers' mark on underside as shown in last image. A great piece for a table scape/entertaining or as art/decorative object.
