About the Item
This smoked glass wine cooler was designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld in 1937 and manufactured by the Lausitzer Glaswerke in Weißwasser, Germany.
Made from mould-pressed glass, the piece reflects the spirit of German Modernism with its clear form and restrained elegance. The conical shape is contrasted by smoothly curved handles, integrated into the vessel’s body.
The base is marked with the original factory signature. A rare surviving example of Wagenfeld’s industrial design work in glass
