This elegant champagne bucket, dating from the Napoleon III period (circa 1870), is crafted in the refined Médicis form, a timeless silhouette inspired by classical antiquity and highly sought after in 19th-century decorative arts. Fashioned in metal and richly silver-plated, the bucket reveals the French taste for both practicality and luxury, its silvered surface designed to catch the light and elevate any festive occasion.
The piece rests on a wide circular base, with a generous flared rim edged in a twisted rope motif, while the double handles, gracefully adorned with acanthus scrolls, add sculptural definition and balance.
