About the Item
Regency period, circa 1815, grand scale oval wine cooler, English. Exceptional quality. Mahogany. Oval flared form accented by robust acanthus carved scrolled handles; beaded plinth; short double scrolled legs ending in finely detailed carved paw feet. Original liner and plug
chain. Original feet restored where joints gave out over time between the paw
upright. Provenance: Estate of Paolo Gucci to Anthony Outred, Kings Road London, member BADA; to the Dr. John Fryer Collection, London
