About the Item

An elegant pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Porcelaine de Paris and Gilt wine buckets/urns. Each wonderful rafraichissoir is raised on a square Porcelain base with Gilt bands below an elegant socle displaying mottled Gilt accents. At each side are handsome Gilt handles of Satyr masks connected by wrap around Gilt bands. Above is the gilded Porcelain rim and lid, with a charming Gilt acorn final at the top center. The lids lift to reveal the original fitted inserts. All original Gilt throughout.
