About the Item

18th century Italian hand carved gold leaf tassel ornaments with gold trim. The tassels originally came from an Italian church in Tuscany and were used during feast days. These tassels were commonly used to adorn 18th and 19th century French and Italian chandeliers. The tassels are incredibly rare to come by and can't be found anywhere else. The historically significant and rare gold tassels can be used for many different design purposes. They can adorn and drip from chandeliers, be used as holiday ornaments and decorations to recreate a Rococo-style Christmas, or hung on their own in their own significance. *Sold in a set of five. *Includes original metal hooks. *Can be bought individually upon request.

18th Century Six Italian Gilded Wall Cadleholders Set of Six Foliate Sconces
Located in Milano, MI
From Northern Italy a rare set of six 18th century gilt wrought iron arms, candle holders, hanging lantern brackets suitable as sconces, if you wire them. These iron arms are fully handmade with curved scrolling iron structure, decorated with  elegant gilt wrought iron acanthus leaves and gildwood balls and bobeches.. Good age related condition, the six arms have the same shape and structure but slightly different sizes, with minor losses, missing giltwood balls in four of item. The gilding of the arms is in good condition, excellent feature in case of their use as sconces, overturning the irons compared to their original use. Some small lacks in the leaves of the crowns of the bobeches, as visible in the picture details. Northern Italy, 1700. Originally these Italian artworks were arms that, fixed in a ring placed on the wall, were used to hold the chains of votive lamps...
