Antique pot rack, handmade of iron. France, 19th century / maybe 17th century. Solid iron in good condition according to its age. In the 19th century, a lot of cooking was still done in the fireplace, on an open fire. The pot was placed on the round base and the handle of the pot could be fastened to the attachment or used to hold a cooking spoon
