About the Item

This striking antique Siemens fan from the 1920s is a fine example of early industrial design and the elegance of the Art Deco era. The beautifully curved frame is made from rich, dark Bakelite, a highly desirable early plastic known for its durability and sculptural quality. The blades are crafted from polished brass, giving the piece a luxurious appearance and a warm golden sheen that exudes vintage charm. The fan retains its original fabric-covered electrical cord from the 1920s and therefore must be professionally rewired before use for safety reasons. As a decorative object, however, it makes an exceptional statement piece—perfect for collectors of early electrical design, industrial antiques, or Art Deco décor. Whether displayed on a desk, console, or shelf, this Siemens fan adds a touch of historical authenticity and timeless style to any interior. Its sculptural form and rare combination of materials make it not just a functional relic of design history, but a true conversation piece. This piece is not functional as it still has the original cables from the 1920s. The wiring must either be replaced by the buyer or commissioned when purchasing the item.
