This Rustic antique tine box is hand-crafted from pine wood and features original rosemaling/rose painting from Telemark, Norway. Dated 1812, it includes the initials "P.T.D." on the lid rim, adding to its historical charm. A museum-quality rustic piece, it showcases professional rosemaling on a farmhouse blue base color. The stunning hand-painted designs, covering the entire body and lid, were created by the renowned Rosemaling artist Leiv Aslestad (Fyresdal 1772 - Skien 1846). This exquisite piece is perfect for any farmhouse or cabin interior and would make a remarkable addition to any Norsk or Norwegian heritage collection. In good antique condition with normal age-related wear and tear, along with some minor damages and repairs, beautiful RUSTIC patina!
