About the Item

Simple in nature, this beautiful plate is decorated with an interior frieze of water fowl facing to the right spaced out by palmettes. The central design is bordered by concentric bands on the tondo with details in added red and brown. Provenance Charles Ede, London, 1989 Estate of a Connecticut Private Collector. Antiquities Christie's New York, Decmeber 11th, 2014. Private Collection, Los Angeles California.
