They are two Kabuki (Japanese theater) dolls made with woods and silk. The woods are for body parts and silks are for kimono parts that they are wearing. These dolls are from Renjishi Story. They were made in Japan around 1990s in Showa era. Dimensions: 8.5 × 6.5 x H9.5 cm (White kabuki doll) 9.5 × 6 x H 9.5 cm(Red kabuki doll) *"Renjishi" (The Two Lions) is a famous Kabuki dance drama about a parent and child lion. The story shows the father's strict love as he pushes his cub into a deep valley to test its strength. It features dynamic movements, powerful emotions, and dramatic red-and-white lion manes in the final dance. It symbolizes the bond and discipline between parent and child.
