A rustic 19th-century Finnish peasant chest in wood with metal corner reinforcements and decorative bands. Painted in a dark brown tone that has beautifully aged over time, this chest exudes the honest, timeworn character of rural craftsmanship. The condition is rough, with visible wear consistent with age and use, including exposed nails visible from the interior bottom. Yet, the piece remains full of authenticity and charm.
