Attention collectors! Introducing a nearly 75 year old table top globe in 100% original, vintage condition. Featuring a space-age metal stand with geometric feet this globe shows the world as it was in the early 1950's at the height of the cold war. Ideal for collectors or the geography/history buff in your life this splendid timepiece captures the fascinating geo-political changes our world has undergone in the span of a human lifetime. With it's unique atomic-style stand, 1950's borders and nearly immaculate vinyl sphere this globe can blend seamlessly against a multitude of design backdrops from Mid-Century Modern to Industrial to Contemporary and everything in between. Make it yours today before its gone forever! ---Dimensions--- Width: 20 in / 50.8 cm Depth: 18 in / 45.72 cm Height: 20 in / 50.8 cm This nearly 75 year old globe is in 100% original, vintage condition! The vinyl "spherical" portion of the globe shows only minor areas of light discoloration and fading (the worst of which can be seen in the detail photos provided), but shows no tears, odors or other damage whatsoever. The metal frame shows some spot rust and tarnishing (again shown in the detail photos provided) but shows no cracks or other wear. The globe spins freely and without issue. This stunning time piece is functional, structurally sound and ready for a lifetime more of use. Please view all photos and natural light video for details on this globe's current condition.
