About the Item
A very fine and stylish English studio pottery teapot and cover decorated in red glazes with blue spot designs by Kent based potter Karen Ann Wood and dating between 1978 and 1983. The stoneware teapot is of rounded shape standing on a narrow rounded unglazed base and has a wide strap handle with molded ridging with a short pouring spout and with a recessed cover with a similar loop handle. The teapot is decorated in a red terracotta colored speckled glaze with a blue spot design which take on an oxidized appearance. With stamped KW mark below the handle and with an original label to the base.
