About the Item
This elegant vintage chessboard dates from approximately 1990 and is a refined example of late 20th-century decorative design.
The board is crafted from beautifully inlaid marble, forming a classic checkerboard pattern with a rich, natural stone appearance.
The accompanying chess pieces are finely cast in solid brass. One set features a deep green bronze-style patina, while the opposing set is finished in a warm gilt tone, creating a striking visual contrast. The pieces are well-balanced, detailed, and display excellent craftsmanship.
Both the board and the pieces are in very good vintage condition, with light wear consistent with age and use, adding to the character of the set.
