About the Item

What a wonderful discovery, rare Pierrot doll faces from the 1920s . All three pieces are in very good condition with minor age related flaws. These fabric masks were used on boudoir pillows, purses and clothing. Each face is made up of original crinoline (open-weave fabric of cotton and linen) that has been stiffened for use with interlines and millinery. They have then been painted with the wonderful expressions that we see here.
