About the Item

Early 19th Century Swedish Folk Art Travel box from Skelleftea Vasterbotten ,Northern Sweden. Beautiful untouched original paint. Decorated with handwrought iron around the box and over the lid. Working lock and key. Later hard ware from Empire time. An iron ring on one side is missing. The box was used to store valuables during travels. Signed PEE which is owner marking. Made in painted pine.
