About the Item

Early 19th century Swedish Folk Art travel box from Skelleftea Vasterbotten, Northern Sweden. Beautiful untouched original paint. Decorated with hand wrought iron around the box and over the lid. Working lock and key. Old wooden repairs on the lid box bottom. Damage to the iron occurs. The box was used to store valuables during travels. Signed JHS which is owner marking. Made in painted pine.
