Fine watercolor depicting the 1867 Diamond paddle steamer HMP Chatham.
It´s all about an excellently made and very well detailed watercolor by the paddle steamer Diamond, flying the British flag and bound for the port of Chatham located on the River Medway, a tributary of the Thames on the outskirts of London.
On board are portrayed officers and sailors, sailboat, and numerous boats in the background of the harbor, left boat name and year.
Original maple wood frame.
Measures with frame 39.5x3x29.5 cm - 15.5x1.2x11.7 in - measures without frame 27x17 cm - 10.6x6.8 in.
