About the Item
Georgian Pine Tavern Table in the original paint. The table originates from Devon, in the far West of England. These Tavern tables are very rare, with few survivors still out there.
I have been trading for more than 40 years, and over that period have only owned four or five of these tables, (this is the first one in nearly a decade). They were literally made for the coaching inns and Pubs of the Westcountry. Nearly all the ones I have ever purchased have come from Dartmoor or Exmoor, you rarely find them in any other region of the UK.
This table is in very good condition and of a lovely small size, it retains its original paint and patina throughout.
These simple Folk art country tables look great in any setting, simple country or totally contemporary alike.
