Original Painted Pine Baby Cradle Rocker, Sweden 1850-55
Located in Round Top, TX
This delightful baby cradle was hand-crafted by a loving family in the mid 1800's. Note each of the narrow ends with dates and monograms. The faux wood brown background was the traditional folk art style of the era. This wood cradle has been restored and waxed. It is solid/structurally sound. A new base/bottom has been added. An old alteration is seen along the rockers where it was raised up. Antique cradles...
