About the Item

A wonderful and original George III provincial painted oak games table, with a canted column and cruciform base. The table has its original painted finish, with painted blue and white games board, a small segmented draw with brass handle. The chess set in a later addition and was produced by Staunton in the 19th century. Age related abrasions and knocks, some minor chips and discolouration to the chess pieces. 40cm wide 40cm deep 76cm high
