About the Item
Cuzco often has unusual iconography but this painting is perhaps unique. Saint Joseph, his hand raised in benediction cradles the child Christ with his own little crown of thorns and tear-streaked face. I can find no similarly painted picture. It is quite large and well but naively painted.

- Condition:Minor losses. Minor structural damages. Not relined , paint thin in parts , minor losses to both paint and frame. Canvas patched. For a work of this type I would say it is in good though not perfect condition. The frame is veneered in a hardwood which I don t recognize.
