Modernist Abstract Oil Painting on canvas by WNY Artist Kathrin Langley titled "SEEBREEZ " ..Well executed,, great use of color, texture . Katherine was known for her abstract and her religious artwork. She produced several hundreds of works during a 60-year career which ended with blindness in 2001 She studied with artist such as Ruth Gay Haven , Sam Russo, Peter Bush ,Marcus Pratt, Ruth Gay Haven, Sam Russo, Peter Busa, Marcus Pratt She exhibited her paintings at galleries in, Niagara Falls, Buffalo, the Chautauqua Institute and in Allentown and Lewiston Art Festivals. In 1959, Katherine won the prize "Best of Show" at the Albright-Knox Art gallery for her painting "Ancient Tomb". She was a member of the former Studio Group and the Niagara Council on the Arts
