Ancient Palace Size Antique Ferahan Sarouk Muted Natural Dyes Elegant Old World Gem About: Back in the day (First Quarter of the 20th Century) these Ferahans were at the top of the list for Designers, Decorators, and Collector's alike. No where could you find the Refined Aesthetic, the Sophisticated detail, mixed with the subtle Dainty Ease of the Meticulous woven Flowers and Vines throughout. The colors are a muted charcoal, soft salmon-copper-rust, gorgeous browns, old-english rose, incredible blues, and so on. Oh, did I mention Green - the Greens in this piece are to die for! The Overall tonality of this piece is really what is maybe most appealing - the Impossible To Ignore Staggering Beauty of an Ancient Antique Rug, but with a softer sophisticated subtleness - chef's kiss. You will love this Astonishing size if you can fit it - make a statement in the most Grand yet Classy way. Size: 10 x 17.3 Age: Antique, C. 1900-1915 Pile: Low pile throughout with age-related wear and patina - Incredible old world character-rich piece. This piece we sent overseas to get Fully restored to nearly Mint Restored Condition. Subtle color transfer throughout which isn't a big deal at all as the most important thing is that this piece is sound from a foundational standpoint. Rewoven by a wonderful family that restores most of our pieces that need major attention - this piece came back so good (these weavers are so talented) and for that we thank them immensely! You will Love this piece. This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects. Always recommend a high-quality custom cut pad for any and all rugs; these pads are made for hand-knotted rugs. They create a body and support the knots of the rug, as well as prevent it from slipping and sliding. This rug is also available with a custom cut pad (sold separately).
