About the Item

Classical and Iconic Mother-Daughter Piece Antique Rug About: Arguably one of the most symbolic and beautifully intentional rug designs there is; the mother-daughter rug is a rug woven by mothers for their children. The large boteh design (the mother) is accompanied by the smaller boteh design (the child) in a poetic and whimsical way depicted in this piece. Surrounded by flowers, other boteh motifs, trees, vines, leaves, and all things that make nature pretty - this piece is the embodiment of the most natural thing in the world - love. A very subtle and deconstructed Serapi border flanks the beautiful design in the field, and the colors that make this rug are nice rich reds, deep blues, and medium lake blues, dusty lemon yellows, rose, deep umber and sensational abrash shooting through the rug in an organic and natural way! This rug comes with unmatched energy, it will fill up space with more love than we can imagine! Size: 4.9 x 6 Age: Semi-antique Pile: Low/Medium This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one available. Because of the nature and age of these older/antique handmade pieces, irregularities and age-related wear are likely to exist and are not considered defects. This rug is also available with a custom cut pad (sold separately).
